Dersingham VA Primary and Nursery School

Lunch Menu

We have a school kitchen on our site which provides hot and cold meals to our pupils everyday. Our catering provider, Norse, regularly update their menu and sometimes offer special lunches to coincide with special events.

The kitchen provide FREE hot dinners to all children in Foundation and KS1 (Years 1 and 2), including a dessert. There is a choice of the main hot dinner, a vegetarian option, a jacket potato with a different filling each day or the sandwich of the day.

Lunch costs £2.58 per day and includes the main meal and a dessert.

All children may choose to bring in their own packed lunch. This must include a healthy option for their lunch boxes i.e. cereal bars, yogurts and/or fruit. We aim to promote healthy eating at our school. We do not allow children to have any sweets or chocolate. A biscuit covered in chocolate is allowed.

Food Allergies/Intolerances

We do have several pupils with severe nut allergies which we ask parents to be aware of.  We ask that you do not send pots/packets of whole nuts to the school.

More information about the meals prepared in our kitchen can be found on the Aspens website. Parents will be asked to complete a Special Diets Forms and submit it, along with medical paperwork, so that an individual menu can be devised to suit their needs.
