At Dersingham Primary, we are always looking at ways to make learning interesting and fun for the children because we know that is how they learn best. Of course some things - like times tables - are just hard slog and we can't help that.
So, we have a homework policy which is fun, interesting and should allow for the whole family to get involved. Each half term the teachers will send home a homework challenge with no limits so you can take part as much or as little as you want. The challenge will be based on the topic the children are learning about in school.
Of course some of you will favour more traditional homework - the sort when children practice what they know rather than finding out something new and exciting. For those parents we have a leaflet with books, ideas and suggested websites. Plus the children will get weekly spellings, rapid recall and MyMaths games (there is a link to MyMaths on the home page).
Let me know how it goes and I look forward to seeing your projects!
